Our Sunday service begins at 10:30am. When you arrive, you will be warmly greeted by people who are genuinely excited to see you. Our desire is that you feel welcomed as we worship and serve our glorious God and that through our words and deeds, we point to our savior Jesus Christ.
There is nothing like hearing the church of God lifting their hearts and voices together in song. Whether we are singing new music or rich hymns of the church's heritage, we aim for the words that we sing to give voice to our adoration for God in an authentic and biblical way. Some of our favorite contemporary worship songs are written by Sovereign Grace Music, Matt Papa, Matt Boswell, & The Gettys.
The preaching of God's Word is central to our gatherings and we are fully convinced of the value of the expository method. Our pastor preaches through books of the Bible in a way that is faithful to the scriptures, Christ-centered, and full of eternal truths that impact us in life-changing ways.
View Our Latest SermonsThe end of our service is reserved for a time of corporate prayer. We pray together as those around us lift their praise & petitions to The Lord. We cherish this time when we collectively join hearts around the throne of God and are strengthened together.
Let Us Pray With YouAs a warm and welcoming church community, we love getting to know new people. You can expect to be greeted before, during, and after the service. We can't wait for you to join us!
Absolutely not. We believe that God sovereignly draws people of all backgrounds to Himself and we certainly love when those seeking answers enter our doors. During His time on Earth, Jesus loved to listen and answer questions; we strive to do the same. Although our time will be taken up by singing, preaching, and prayer, you're welcome to join in or simply observe.
Our Sunday morning service typically lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Because our goal is to seek God, not impress each other, we don't have any expectations on formality of dress. Some may dress up but many dress casually. Wear what makes you comfortable. The gospel brings together people from all walks of life and backgrounds and this is reflected in our clothing.
During our service, we provide childcare in the nursery for those five and under, however we firmly believe in the importance of having children involved in our worship service. We are a growing church and have many families with young children. We understand that children make noises and that’s perfectly fine. It’s never a burden or distraction to walk with parents as they help their kids adjust to being in service together. If you feel that your child is being a distraction, we do have a TV room and nursing room downstairs.
We meet at 9am for a time of Sunday Morning Study. This time is usually reserved for studying through a book of the Bible, Christian worldview, or topical studies to strengthen our faith and prepare us to be salt and light in this world. Children also have their classes split up by appropriate age groups.
We meet Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm. These times usually involve prayer, reflection, and study through a topic or book. We often are split into men and women groups where discussion is sometimes easier.
We have several small groups that meet once a month. These meet on different evenings throughout the month and usually involve a shared meal and a study.
We participate in the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month. Most months we do this in place of corporate prayer at the end of the service.
We support a variety of missionaries serving a wide range of people-groups in various mission fields; from Central Asia, India, Nepal, Northern Africa, and locally in the USA.
The church is made of many parts that need each other. In the New Testament, the church is compared to a body, a temple, a household, and a flock. Each of these metaphors describe a diverse group of individuals joined together into a single group with a single purpose. This is one of the reasons we practice church membership. Church membership is our way of ensuring everyone at Faith Bible experiences the blessing of belonging and serving together and the privilege of partnering together in the gospel.
The process to becoming a member includes a few simple steps:
There are many ways to give whether that be through the giving of your time, talents, resources, or giving financially. Though we don’t pass an offering plate during our Sunday service, we do encourage every believer who participates at Faith Bible Church to give generously as to provide for the needs of the church and to support our Missionaries. To give simply drop a check or cash in the offering box located near the sanctuary entrance.
More On Giving.
More On Serving
Our vision is that God uses us for His glory to make disciples of Christ who proclaim the gospel in both word and deed to the people of South Kansas City, the surrounding areas, and the world. We aim to play our part as faithful servants in all work that God gives us and to all those He brings into our church building.
10827 Grandview Rd.Our building has served as a church in South Kansas City for over six decades and hosted Faith Bible for the past 28 years. In recent years we have grown to invite many new members and families into our community. It is our prayer that our vision and reach far exceeds the size of our building in bringing glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
